After many athletes responded to our first call, we are pleased to share more information on the next steps. The selection process for the athletes who will represent Switzerland at the European Championships will take place in two stages.
In the first round, athletes will be directly nominated based on a clear set of criteria, primarily considering the results from the previous season. In addition, further surfers may be nominated after the Oana Open or the Toyota Urbansurf Zurich Open based on their results. Strong performances at these contests will increase your chances of securing a spot at the European Championships.
From all nominated athletes (initial nominations as well as additional nominations), the final team representing Switzerland will be selected. The number of available starting spots for our athletes depends on the number of participating nations and cannot yet be confirmed at this stage.
